Our Story

The story of Surbhi Wines & Spirits begins in the early 1980s, when founder Subhash Garg developed a curiosity for natural fermentation and the harmony between health, fruit, and nature. What began as artisanal fruit-based preparations soon grew into a lifelong pursuit of winemaking.

Seeking to refine his craft, Subhash travelled to Strasbourg and Colmar in France, training at the Doman Jux Winery, where he learned the discipline and philosophy of fine European winemaking — patience, precision, and respect for the land.

Returning to India, he established Golden Agro Winery in Punjab in 1997, pioneering early fruit wine production adapted to Indian climate and soil conditions. Those years of experimentation formed the foundation of Surbhi Wines & Spirits.

Today, in Noida, the legacy continues. Each bottle we craft reflects decades of learning — carrying forward the belief that wine is not simply made, but cultivated through time, care, and spirit.
